Q + A

Whoa! We're Getting Married!!

We are so excited to celebrate with our favourite people this summer! Our wedding weekend will be filled with good food, great music, and plenty of time to relax and have fun together.

Take a look around here for all the details, and be sure to RSVP so we know you’ll be joining us. We’ll continue updating the site as we get closer to the big day, so feel free to check back for the latest information. We can't wait to share this special weekend with you!

With love,

Lex & Hunter

When and where is the wedding?

Our wedding will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025. We'll have an intimate ceremony and reception at the Bishop's house on Haliburton Lake. Specific details will be shared with guests upon RSVP.

What’s the schedule for the weekend?

We’re making a weekend of it! On Friday, we’ll start with the wedding ceremony, followed by the reception and after-party to keep the celebration going. Saturday is about relaxation with a laid-back beach day, a champagne brunch, lawn games, and a BBQ. On Sunday, we’ll wrap up the weekend with a little friendly competition for those who are up for it!

How do I RSVP?

We’d love to celebrate with you, whether you’re joining us for one event or the whole weekend! You can RSVP right here on our website. Each event (i.e. ceremony, after-party, beach day, and Sunday Olympics) has a separate RSVP, so please let us know which ones you’ll be attending. Type in your name to access the RSVP forms for each event. Please RSVP by June 30th so we can plan accordingly.

Is the wedding kid-friendly?

The ceremony and reception are adults-only, but little ones are welcome on Saturday!

Can I bring a plus-one?

If your invitation includes a plus-one, they will be included by name. We’d love to celebrate with everyone, but due to space, we’re keeping it intimate for the ceremony and dinner. Plus-ones are welcome to join us for the after-party, Saturday and Sunday!

What should I wear?

We want you to be comfortable and have fun! For those attending the ceremony, think more formal garden party vibes. Dress your best, but keep in mind that the wedding is outdoors, so plan for the weather and choose footwear suited for grass. For the after-party and the rest of the weekend, it’s about comfort. Bring layers for the bonfire and don't forget your swimsuit.

What should I pack?

Depending on which events you’re attending, here are some things to pack - Friday: Dress nice for the ceremony and bring layers for the bonfire. Also, don't forget a swimsuit if you plan to hop in the lake with us! Lawn chairs are also recommended for the bonfire. Saturday & Sunday: Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, and comfy clothes for lawn games.

Where should I stay?

There are plenty of options nearby, from hotels to Airbnbs to campsites on the lawn. We recommend booking as soon as you can since it’s a holiday weekend! Check out the travel page for a couple of recommendations to help with your search.

Is there parking?

Yes! Parking will be available on the road and at the adjoining property. We'll have signage to guide you. If you're planning to drive, please give us a heads-up when you RSVP so we can help coordinate parking in advance. Carpooling is encouraged if possible!

I have dietary restrictions, what should I do?

Please let us know when you RSVP, and we’ll do our best to accommodate!

Will there be a cash bar?

Nope! The reception will have an open bar. The after-party and the rest of the weekend are BYOB, so bring whatever you’d like to drink.
